Senay Semu Tadesse was born in Ethiopia. She received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Addis Ababa University with distinction in July 2009. She received her master’s degree in Communication Systems from Addis Ababa Institute of Technology in March 2012. She has also served as assistant lecturer during her masters study in Addis Ababa Institute of Technology.
She graduated from  Politecnico di Torino in master’s degree in Computer and Communication Networks Engineering in December 2014.  From February 2015 to October 2016 she was a researcher in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications under the supervision of  professor Carla Fabiana Chiasserini. In November 2016 she started her Ph.D program joining the Telecommunication Networks Group at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications under the supervision of professor Carla Fabiana Chiasserini and professor Claudio E. Casetti.
