Riccardo Rusca was born in Turin (Italy) on September 11th, 1996. He got his Bachelor Degree and Master Degree in Computer Engineering respectively in 2018 and in 2020 at Politecnico di Torino. From November 2020 he started the Ph.D. at Politecnico di Torino under the supervision of Professor Claudio Ettore Casetti.

His research topic is focused on crowd monitoring and city sensing techniques supported by next generation mobile networks.

Right now he is working on the 6G flagship Hexa-X project, focusing on Federated Learning for IoT devices in Smart Cities context to collaboratively learn optimal resource allocation given traffic demand.
