I earned my bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Systems from IAU Fasa in 2004. Subsequently, I pursued a Master’s in Engineering in the same field at IAU Bushehr, completing it in 2007. Venturing into the technology market, I founded a small company dedicated to serving the community. Our focus was on designing and implementing small to medium technical solutions for home and small industry systems, particularly in solar and control systems.

Expanding my academic horizons, I obtained a second master’s degree in Communication and Computer Network Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in March 2020. My thesis concentrated on developing a solution utilizing SDN, NFV, and programmable switches with the P4 language, part of the 5G-EVE European project. The goal was to facilitate state sharing among Virtual Network Functions.

Currently, as a Ph.D. student in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at Politecnico di Torino since November 2020, I’m extending my master’s thesis work, which focused on data-plane assisted state sharing with programmable networks, for my Ph.D. research. This forms the foundation for exploring the integration of Blockchain technologies into communication protocols. The aim is twofold: integrating the advantages of blockchain into the communications sector and optimizing communication protocols within blockchains.

Additionally, my Ph.D. research spans across several areas. In the second part of my work, I’m delving into blockchains, as previously mentioned, exploring their applications in communication systems. For the third part, I’m investigating cloud gaming and game engine module placement in the cloud-edge continuum.

Iman received his Master’s Degree in Communication and Computer Network Engineering in March 2020 from Politecnico di Torino. He is a PhD student in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at Politecnico di Torino Since November 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Giaccone and Prof. Vittorio Curri.

My main interests include but not restricted to Cloud Gaming, Blockchains and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs), P4 Programmable switches, SDN, NFV, Vehicular networks, and IoT.
