German Sviridov got his Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. In 2017 he got a Master Degree with summa cum laude in Communications and Computer Networks Engineering with a thesis titled “Design of State Replication for Stateful Software Defined Networking” supervised by Prof. Paolo Giaccone and Prof. Andrea Bianco.
From 2015 to 2017 he worked as a System Administrator in Kirey Group focusing on network infrastructure, virtualization and security.
In November 2017 he joined the Telecomunication Networks Group at DET as a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Giaccone and Prof. Andrea Bianco.
Since September 2019 he is a visiting student at Huawei Technologies Research Center in Paris, France where is working on AI applied to networks under the supervision of Dario Rossi.
He is very passionate about emerging technologies and their implications in the daily life, in particular regarding privacy concerns in the digital age.
His main research interests include:

- Distributed systems / Blockchain technologies
- Applications of AI to networks
