I was born in Marilândia-ES Brazil, on March 30th, 1980. I have received both my Master degree in Computer Science and my Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from the  Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil. 

I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente, the Netherlands, in 2013. I am currently an Assistant Professor with a temporary contract (RTDa) at the Telecommunication Networks Group in the Politecnico di Torino, in Italy.

Short Bio: 

Idilio Drago is an Assistant Professor (RTDa) at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications. His research interests include Internet measurements, Big Data analysis, and network security. Drago has a PhD in computer science from the University of Twente. He was awarded an Applied Networking Research Prize in 2013 by the IETF/IRTF for his work on cloud storage traffic analysis.
