Dario Rossi was born in Torino (Italy), on a sunny sunday of March 1977. He graduated from the Politecnico di Torino with a degree in Telecommunication Engineering  in November 2001.  His Master Thesis ``A Simulation Study of Web Traffic over DiffServ Networks'', developed in collaboration with NEC Europe Ltd. - Network Laboratories, Heidelberg (Germany), has been selected for publication in the International Archives and is available here [.ps.gz]

Between October 1999 and July 2000 he partecipated to the european Erasmus student exchange program, as visiting student in the Institut Superieur d'Electronique du Nord (ISEN) in Lille, France.

Since January 2002, he has been with the Dipartimento di Elettronica of Politecnico di Torino as a Ph.D. student: the dissertation ``At the Network Edge: Sniff, Analyze, Act'' is available here [.ps.gz] [.pdf]

Between September 2003 and August 2004 he held a Visiting Researcher position in the Computer Science division at University of California, Berkeley, where he worked on peer-2-peer networking under the supervision of Prof. Ion Stoica.

Between January and October 2006, he held a Research Assistant position at the Eletronic Department of Politecnico di Torino, where he was working on embedded sensor networks, intervehicular communications and IP traffic measurement.

Since October 2006, he is an Associate Professor of the Informatique et Réseaux (INFRES) department at the Ecole Nationale Superiore de Télécommunications (ENST), Paris, France.
